Gas Appliance Maintenance and Repair Guide

How often should a residential gas boiler be serviced?

It is highly recommended to perform regular maintenance on your gas boiler once a year, preferably before the start of the heating season. Annual servicing ensures device safety, prevents unexpected breakdowns, and keeps heating efficiency high while lowering utility costs.

First, check if the main gas valve is open and make sure the water pressure in the system is normal (typically between 1.2 and 1.5 bar). If the error code persists, turn off the appliance immediately and contact a Wineco technician. For your safety, DIY gas appliance repairs are strictly prohibited.

Yes, we provide official gas pipeline installation, construction, and modification services (such as relocating gas pipes during kitchen renovations or room remodeling) for both indoor and outdoor systems. Since gas works involve high risks, our certified specialists ensure all pipeline alterations strictly comply with safety regulations, pass necessary leak tests, and are legally compliant.

Gas System Audits & Inspections

Does Wineco OÜ perform official certified gas audits?

Wineco OÜ provides comprehensive technical inspection and safety evaluations for gas installations and appliances. Please note that our inspection service does not substitute an official gas audit issued by a state-accredited certified inspection body. If a certified official audit is strictly required by law or local authorities, you must contact a nationally accredited inspection organization.

Wineco’s expert safety inspection is an ideal solution for regular self-monitoring, rental property checks, or evaluating the condition of gas infrastructure before buying or selling a property. It is also highly recommended to inspect the system prior to initial operation or before booking an official certified audit to ensure your home is completely safe.

An extraordinary audit is mandatory if the system was unused for over a year. It is also required after reconstruction or if previous audit data is missing. Legally, extraordinary audits do not apply to single-family homes or apartments. If you rebuild a residential system, a pre-use audit is conducted instead.

Before first use, pipelines must be purged with gas. An indoor leak test is also mandatory. During the trial run, all unchecked connection points must be inspected. This includes meters, pressure gauges, and appliance connections. The system must be operational during this check. All works must be performed by a competent specialist.

For apartments and residential houses (where the gas appliance is used primarily for heating or hot water production), a gas installation audit is legally mandatory every 4 years. For larger B-, C-, and D-category gas systems, the mandatory audit interval is once every 2 years.
